Walk - in interview will be held on 10th June, 2013
Project Title: Common basis of defense induction in rice and mustard against sucking and gall insect pests
Funding: National Fund (ICAR), closing on 31-3-2016
1. Position: Research Associate
Emoluments: Rs 24,000/- per month for Ph.D. holders and Rs. 23,000/- per month for those possessing a Master’s Degree. HRA @ 30% and others benefits will be regulated as per existing norms in the Council.
Qualifications: Essential – First Class Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, Life Sciences, with at least two years of research experience in the relevant area as evidenced from fellowships/ associateships /training/other engagements.
Desirable - Ph.D., working experience in gene cloning, Bioinformatics, plant transformation evident by published research papers.
Age limit: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on the date of interview. (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules)
2. Position: Senior Research Fellow
Emoluments: Rs 16,000/- per month + 30% HRA. Other benefits will be regulated as per existing norms in the ICAR.
Qualifications: Essential- First class Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Agriculture, Genetics, Plant Breeding, Plant Sciences, Life Sciences
Desirable- Hands on experience of molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA related), plant transformation and bioinformatics related to molecular biology/genomics.
Age limit: 35 yrs (Man), 40 yrs (Woman) (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules)
General Terms & Conditions for both the position:
· The positions are purely temporary, on a contractual basis and is initially offered for one year.
· The period and duration of the scheme is tentative and the same may change.
· The person employed will have no right to claim employment or engagement in ICAR at the end of the contract period.
· No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
· Persons already in employment should bring “No Objection Certificate” from their
present employer.
· The candidates who wish to attend the walk-in interview are requested to bring with them five copies of the CV as per the format given below. Also, the candidates
should bring the original documents such as degree certificates/marks sheets, publications, experience certificate etc. for verification.
· The decision of the Project Director of this Institute will be final and binding in all
aspects.
· In case of any disputes, it will be resolved within the jurisdiction of New Delhi Court only.
