SRF and Project fellow at NIAB, Hyderabad

Applications are invited from suitable candidate for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad against the DBT funded project entitled “Genomics assisted pathobiology to identify novel targets for diagnosis and therapeutic intervention(s) of Japanese encephalitis and Leptospirosis”.

(i) Two positions of Senior Research Fellow 

Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree in life sciences OR Graduate/Post Graduate degree in professional course having NET/GATE or selected through national level examination conducted by DBT/DST/MHRD/ICMR/IIT/IISC/IISSER. The candidate should have minimum two-year research experience preferably as JRF (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014 and SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019). However, Non NET candidates can also apply who will be paid as per their eligibility.

Fellowship amount: Rs.35000/-PM +24% HRA (if applicable) as per the DST guidelines.

Experience: Candidate with experience in Molecular biology and Immunological techniques, genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, and animal (mice, hamster) handling is desirable. Candidates having prior experience in working with JEV and Leptospira will be preferred.

Age: 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)

(iii) One position of Project Fellow against CSIR-HRDG funded project entitled “Development ofnovel mucosal delivery system and testing its efficacy against Salmonella infection” PI: Dr. SyedMohd Faisal, Scientist-E.

Essential qualification: Post Graduate Degree in life sciences. Candidates who are on verge of completion of their Master’s degree can also apply. NET/GATE is not required. Candidate with experience in Molecular biology and Immunological techniques is desirable

Fellowship amount:Rs. 11,500/- PM (Consolidated)

Indian Institute of Technology Indore invites applications from outstanding researchers for the DBT-Wellcome Trust / Ramalingaswami / Ramanujan / DST-INSPIRE Fellow positions in the following specific areas of specializations in the Discipline of Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering:

The discipline of Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering (BSBE) at Indian Institute of Technology Indore was initiated in 2012, with a vision of establishing a center of excellence that will focus on human resource development and research in areas of Biosciences, and Biomedical Engineering. The BSBE group seeks to pursue research and development activities resulting in new discoveries in imaging techniques, diagnostics kits, and novel therapies. Additionally, the BSBE group intends to carry out patient-based research in collaboration with physicians at renowned hospitals in India and abroad. The department offers the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees and runs a minor in BSBE supporting a dynamic and rapidly growing program. The research activities and experimental facilities have been well supported by various extramural research and infrastructure grants. 
Candidates must have a PhD degree in any branch of science and engineering or related areas with outstanding academic credentials that clearly demonstrate their ability to conduct independent and successful research in their respective areas of expertise and to build crossdisciplinary research programs. Candidates must have excellent communication skills with a commitment to engage in a high quality undergraduate and graduate education in areas of biomedical engineering. RAMAN–CHARPAK FELLOWSHIP 2019 
Call for Applications 
for 
Indian & French PhD Students and French Masters’ Students 
The Raman–Charpak Fellowship program is in honour of two Nobel Laureates in Physics, Prof C.V. Raman, Indian Nobel Laureate (1930) and Prof Georges Charpak, French Nobel Laureate (1992). 
The Fellowship was launched during the State visit of the President of France to India during in February, 2013. The aim is to facilitate the exchange of doctoral students between the two countries, in order to broaden the scope and depth of future engagements in Science, Technology and Innovation. 
The Raman-Charpak Fellowship is the only Indo-French bilateral Fellowship programme jointly funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the French Institute in India (IFI), French Embassy in India, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Government of France. 
This programme implemented by the Indo French Centre for Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/ CEFIPRA) aims at improving the doctoral skills of Indian and French students by providing them an opportunity to carry out part of their research work in a University / Research & Development Institute based in France or India respectively. 
This programme is now also open to French Master Students, who wish to spend some time in India in accordance to their curriculum. It aims at improving the Masters skills of French students by providing them an opportunity to carry out internship work in a University / Research Institute based in India. 
The scheme also provides an exposure and experience about the current research methods and trends in France/India, while discovering each other’s cultural context. 
This year, the two calls for French Master’s students and Indian & French PhD students are launched respectively according to the timelines provided on page 4 of this call. 
Please note: Applicants must have a pre-determined project proposal that has been discussed and agreed upon by the student and the two supervisors (Indian and French) before applying. 
TARGET GROUP 
 This fellowship programme is dedicated to highly qualified PhD students registered in an Indian or French Research Institute / University and Master Students from France. The programme offers them an excellent opportunity to carry out a part of their respective PhD/ Masters’ research project in each other countries and to further establish professional relationships, promote new S&T cooperation, and experience another cultural context

Created in 1998, the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards identify and support eminent women in science throughout the world. Each year, five Laureates are recognized for their contributions to the advancement of science, in Life Sciences or Physical Science, Mathematics and Computer Science in alternating years. 

The 2020 Awards will designate five outstanding women researchers in the Life Sciences, each working in one of the following regions: Africa and the Arab States, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America & North America. 

The Awards will be given on March 2020 in Paris to the five women selected by an international jury. Each Laureate will receive €100,000
