Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - (1) Applications are invited for a JRF post in a ICMR funded Project entitled "Identifying the role of P53 regulated long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) by Crispr/Cas9 in ovarian cancer". The selected candidate will be appointed purely on temporary basis, initially for one year which may be extended till the validity of the project based on assessment of the candidate's performance. 

Position: Junior Research Fellow (1) 

Essential Qualifications & Experience: Candidate must have M.Sc. or M.Tech. degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Computational Sciences or any related field with hands-on experience in Molecular Biology work or Transcriptomic data analysis. 

Desirable: Research experience in molecular biology methods, cell culture, stable line generation, RNA work, molecular biology and animal tissue culture or RNA seq data analysis. 

Salary: Rs. 31000 per month + HRA (as per ICMR rules). 

Appointment will be purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The eligible candidates may further be shortlisted based on qualifications/experience depending on the number of applications received. CONTRACTUAL ENGAGEMENT OF PROJECT FELLOW

The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun invites applications from Indian nationals for a Project Fellow (01) under the project entitled “Mangrove responses to sea level change along a gradient of tectonic subduction – A multi-disciplinary approach” purely on contractual basis. Details of the position along with essential and desirable qualifications and brief description of work are given below: 
Essential Qualification (EQ) 
 First Class Master’s degree in Botany/Zoology/Wildlife Sciences/Marine Biology/Life sciences or allied disciplines. 
Desirable Qualification (DQ) 
 Minimum one-year experience of field research on coastal biodiversity or plant ecology 
 Knowledge of GIS and Data analysis in R statistics
 Skills in scientific communication proven by publication(s) in peer reviewed journal 
 Enthusiasm to work in remote islands of Andaman & Nicobar 
Work description 
 Work involves extensive travel and data collection in the Andaman & Nicobar islands on mangrove biodiversity related to sea level change 
 Candidate will conduct field research, data collection, data analysis and preparation of scientific papers 
 Candidate will have to be physically fit for working in the coastal areas of the remote islands with limited logistics 
Duration 1 year (extendable up to 3 years depending upon the performance of the candidate) 
Emolument Rs. 25,000/- per month (consolidated) Funding agency Department of Science and Technology, India. 
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS 
1. Recruitment of One (1) “Senior Research Fellow” in a SERB-SPONSORED Project 
Project Title: Studies to delineate the molecular nexus between systemic infection, serotonin biosynthesis and neurocognitive decline using chronic infection model in rodents. 
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc in Neurobiology/Biochemistry or in any Life Science related subjects from accredited University/Institute with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA with minimum two (2) years of active research experience after M.Sc. (as per SERB office memorandum No. SB/S9/Z-01/2015, dt. 07 January, 2015). 
Desirable Qualifications: Passionate researcher with demonstrable 2 years of work experience in neuroscience related project that required exposure to animal models and cell biological techniques. 
Duration of the position: Co-terminus with the Project or upto November 30, 2021 (whichever is earlier). 
Consolidated Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 36,400 (Rs. 28,000/- pm + 30% HRA as per SERB office memorandum No. SB/S9/Z-01/2015, dt. 07 January, 2015). The fellowship is expected to increase subject to approval by SERB. 
Not eligible for hostel facility and other allowances.

Job Description for Project Manager 
a-IDEA, The Technology Business Incubator of NAARM requires Project Manager on contractual basis to look after the Bio- incubator operations including Incubation program, Startup coordination, Partner engagements, Fund Raising for startups and incubator. Further the incumbent is expected to manage the Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG Program) which includes Program management & coordination with Bio Nest team and monitoring of startups. The duration of the contractual engagement is co-terminus with the project. 
Qualification 

Essential: Bachelors in Agriculture and allied sciences or Biotechnology from Agriculture University or Bachelors in Botany from recognized universities of India. 
Preferable: M.B.A / PGDM with specialization in Agribusiness/ Rural management/ entrepreneurship management or Ph.D. in Biotechnology or Entrepreneurship with first division. The candidate should be a team player, with age not exceeding 32 years. 
Job description: Reporting to COO, the candidate is required to handle: 
Bio Nest Incubator management, Incubator operations, Startup scouting, operational support to incubatees and incubator team, assistance in Business development of the incubator, BIRAC-BIG program overall management including program management, scouting and shortlisting of startups, mentoring and support to BIG grantee startups. 
Experience & Consolidated emoluments: The candidate should have minimum 2.5 years’ experience. A consolidated remuneration of Rs.52,000/- per month will be offered.
