Ph.D. studentship

Ph.D. studentship at Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB), Bangalore (http://www.ibioinformatics.org)
1. Ph.D. studentship in Cancer Biology (5 positions)
Qualifications:
1) M.Sc. in any field of Life Sciences;
2) Candidates must have secured JRF funding from CSIR-UGC, DBT, ICMR, BINC and DST-INSPIRE
Selected JRFs will be trained in cell culture, molecular biology experiments, proteomics and cutting edge technologies including NextGen sequencing. Only candidates who can relocate to Bangalore need to apply. 2. Ph.D. studentship in the translational research in neurological diseases (5 positions)
Qualifications:

Selected JRFs will be involved in ongoing collaborative research projects between IOB and National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore. These JRFs will be placed in  IOB-NIMHANS laboratory located at Neurobiology Research Centre, NIMHANS campus. They will be trained in cutting edge technologies including NextGen sequencing and high-resolution mass spectrometry. Only candidates who can relocate to Bangalore need to apply. 3) Experience in signaling pathways, proteomic data analysis and curation is desired
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with an interest in the analysis of published information on human signaling pathways to develop specific signaling networks. Knowledge of molecular biology and sequence analysis is preferred. Preference will also be given to those already worked on similar projects in other companies/institutions. 2) 1-2 years of experience in microbiology or immunology projects
3) At least one publications

5. Ph.D. studentship in the Vector biology (4 positions)
Qualifications:
1) M.Sc. in any field of Life Sciences;

Selected JRFs will be involved in proteomic analysis of vector mosquitoes including Anopheles spp., Aedes spp. and Culex quinquefasciatus.  JRFs must be willing to travel to and fro between National Institute for Malaria Research at Goa and IOB at Bangalore.
