JRF

Applications are invited for the post of one JRF/SRF/RA in a CSIR funded project entitled “Evaluation of age-associated alterations in anti-oxidative defence in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and its role in accumulation of oxidative stress” under the supervision of Dr. Nilanjana Das, Department of Biotechnology, Visva-Bharati.
Essential qualification:
JRF M.Sc in any discipline of Life Science with minimum 55% marks preferably with knowledge of microbiology/ biotechnology/ biochemistry techniques.
Valid NET/GATE is essential.
Age limit: 28 years.
SRF: Candidates with M.Sc in any discipline of Life Science with minimum 55% marks and with evidence of minimum of 2 years of research experience after M.Sc. Candidates must have published papers in standard refereed journals.
RA: Candidates with M.Sc in any discipline of Life Science with minimum 55% marks and with Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in the relevant subject.
The upper age limit for JRF, SRF and RA shall be 28, 32 and 35 years, respectively, relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
Stipend for JRF, SRF and RA shall be 16,000/-, 18000/- and 22000/- pm, respectively, as per CSIR guidelines.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed via post for the interview. The project duration is 3 yrs. Student will have to work in the Department of Biotechnology, Visva-Bharati where he/she can also register for Ph.D degree. The positions are purely temporary and co- terminus with the project.
