Applications are invited for the following purely temporary posts in the DST funded Project entitled "Design Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of novel indole and 2,3-dihydro-1H-indene derivatives in the search of potent HIV 1 Integrase Inhibitors (HIV-1INI's)".
1. Junior Research Fellow (One) Rs.14,000/- + 30% HRA
Essential Qualification
•Master's degree in Chemistry/ Biological Sciences/ Biophysics/ with strong academic record.
• NET/ GATE qualified will be preferred.
Desirable Qualification : The project involves synthetic chemistry work and then biological evaluation of those molecules against drug target.
  • A candidate with an experience in organic synthetic methodology, coupling reactions and stereo selective synthesis will be preferred. The project involves a synthesis a number of isoquinolines , indole analogues, indene analogues chemistry using coupling chemistry and  chiral catalyst. The students having experience will be given preference. The candidate with masters in Chemical Sciences discipline having an experience of one year on synthetic chemistry, organic chemistry, development of novel methodology to synthesize novel heterocyclic moiety.
  • Student with Biology background should have an experience in protein expression, Purification, cloning, DNA isolation, Agarose gel running, SDS gel running, PCR, DNA sequencing, Western Blotting, Confocal Microscopy, Spectroscopy, Fluorescence Microscopy.
The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis, initially for a period of one year or till his/her services are required by the Project Director or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest.
