Focused Area of Research: Antitumor Activity an Integrated Approach
Karnatak University, Dharwad is one of the six universities identified as ‘University with Potential for Excellence’ and awarded the UPE status by the University Grants Commission under IXth Plan. Under the program UGC has identified ‘Antitumor activity an integrated approach’ as the focused area of research to carry out research in the area of cancer therapeutics and cancer biology involving different disciplines.
Under this program JRF positions are available to work in Biochemistry (two), Botany (one), Chemistry (three; one each for organic, inorganic and physical), Physics (one) and Zoology (one).
The fellowship amount will be as per the UGC guidelines and the tenure of the fellowship is initially for two years, extendable after evaluation of the work progress and co-terminous with the tenure of the program.
Eligibility: Candidates must have M.Sc. degree in respective discipline with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade. Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates and an earlier experience in the area will be considered. The selected candidates are encouraged to enroll for Ph.D. degree as per the university norms.
