Focused Area of Research: Antitumor Activity an Integrated Approach
Karnatak University, Dharwad is one of the six universities identified as ‘University with Potential for Excellence’ and awarded the UPE status by the University Grants Commission under IXth Plan. Under the program UGC has identified ‘Antitumor activity an integrated approach’ as the focused area of research to carry out research in the area of cancer therapeutics and cancer biology involving different disciplines.

 For JRF Position, Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified CSIR-NET/ GATE
/ UGC-LS examination. *Selected candidates who have qualified NET/GATE will be
paid stipend of Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + HRA depending on the project sanction order.
Candidates, who have LS qualifications or not qualified in any of the above mentioned
examinations, if selected, will be paid stipend of Rs.12, 000/- p.m.
 Upper age limit will be considered as on the date of interview. Reservations will be followed as
per GOI guidelines. Age relaxation of 5 years in case of SC/ST/Women/PH and 3 years in case
of OBC candidates will be given as per GOI rules.
 Marks relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates i.e. minimum 50%
 Please bring *Bio-data Form.doc duly filled in and all original certificates showing date of
birth, qualification, statement of marks of the exam passed (10th , 12th , Graduation, Post
