Project Molecular characterization of phytoremediation potentiality of bamboo, Pteris, Veteveria and Mimosa plants for arsenic and chromium

Educational qualification

First class M. Sc. in Biotechnology/ Bio-Chemistry/ Microbiology

Job requirement

• Evaluation of plants tolerance to As and Cr stress through in vitro and in vivo experimentation
• Plant Molecular analysis using genomic and proteomic technique

Desirable: Work experience in molecular biology and analytical chemistry

Consolidated fixed remuneration (p.m.) Rs.10,000/-

Duration of the project 1 year six months

Age limit 28 years (relaxation admissible as per rules of Govt. of India)

Applicants are to appear for a personal interview (with original documents and work reports) before the selection committee on 12/08/2010 at 10.30 am in Room No. 108 of the Environmental Biotechnology Division. No TA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. No separate interview call letter will be issued. Candidates who do not fulfill the prescribed educational qualification will not be interviewed. No interim inquires will be entertained in this regard.
