GENETICS GROUP:

Research Student (1 post)
under the ARI Project entitled ‘Evaluation of plant extract/oil as botanical pesticides against major insect pests of soybean (GEN-013, period up to 31.03.2013).
Monthly stipend Rs.11,000/- fixed.
Qualifications:
Essential : 1st class M.Sc. in Botany/Zoology/M.Sc. Agri. with Plant Breeding & Genetics or Agricultural entomology/ M.Sc. Environmental Science

(1) Project Co-ordinator and Research Student (1 each)
under DST ProjectDeveloping Community based approach for prevention and management of Anemia through nutritional inputs and awareness among young rural women in India’ (SP-184), Period up to December 2011.
Project Co-ordinator: Qualifications Essential: 1st class M.Sc. in Biochemistry with 5 yrs research experience in nutritional Biochemistry especially in estimation of micronutrients. The work involves supervision and co-ordination of research activities both at laboratory and field level. The work involvs travel in different states outside Maharashtra. Monthly stipend Rs.14,000/-fixed. [Code: PC/SP-184]
Research Student Qualifications Essential: 1st class M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Food Science & Nutrition with 2 yrs experience in laboratory analysis (Micronutrient estimations) on field nutrition project. Monthly stipend Rs.10,000/- fixed. [Code: RS/SP-184]

under the DSR Project `Sorghum grain sample analysis’ (SP-164, period up to 02.02.2011).
Monthly stipend Rs.11,000/- fixed. .
Qualifications: Essential: 1st class M.Sc. in Biochemistry / Biotechnology.

BOTANY GROUP

(1) Junior Research Fellow (1 post )
under the ARI Project BOT-01 (up to March 2011),
Monthly stipend Rs.12,000/- + HRA
Qualifications: Essential :
(i) 1st class M.Sc. in Botany &
(ii) Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET/GATE exam of JRF.
Desirable: Special subject Taxonomy/Pharmacognosy.

(2) Junior Research Fellow (1 post)
under the DBT Project titled ‘Recovery of Ret Species of Ceropegia from Western Ghats’ (SP-185) (up to 09.01.2015). Monthly stipend Rs.12,000/- + HRA .
Qualifications: Essential:
(i) 1st class M.Sc. with special subject Angiosperms or Physiology &
(ii) Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET/GATE exam of JRF.
Desirable: Experience of handling Tissue Culture Techniques & field studies for collection of proper species. [Code: JRF/SP-185]
In case of non-availability of qualified JRF, candidates having M.Sc. degree in the subjects mentioned above with at least 55% may be considered for Research Studentship on a monthly stipend of Rs.11000/- (fixed) in lieu of JRF.

MICROBAL SCIENCES DIVISION

under the Shri Lab Sponsored Project entitled ‘Isolation & Characterization of plasmid from clinical isolates (SP-187, period up to 31.10.2010).
Monthly stipend Rs.11,000/- fixed.
Qualifications: Essential : 1st class M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology. [Code: RS/SP-187]
Age Limit : Project Co-ordinator – 32 Yrs, JRF/Research Student – 28 Yrs (Relaxable as per rules)
Candidates fulfilling above conditions may apply in the prescribed format available on the Institute’s website Application Form (PDF format) (DOC format) along with attested copies of qualifications, certificates, Passport size photograph, and application fee of Rs.50/- for Research Student and Rs.100/- for Project Co-ordinator, payable by Demand Draft in favor of Director, ARI, Pune, by the last date as given and directly appear for walk-in interview as per schedule. No T.A. will be admissible for attending interview. Those candidates, who are willing to apply for more than one position, should apply separately along with D.D. and copies of other necessary documents.
