The interview program for the following temporary project posts tenable at NCCS, Pune.
01- PDF Post- Doctoral Fellow (One Post)
Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance "Molecular Mechanisms for Regulation of lonotropic Glutamate Receptors by Their Auxiliary Subunits" project of Dr. Janesh Kumar, Scientist ‘D’
35 Years
Essential: Ph.D. in Neurophysiology/any branch of life science or equivalent degree or having three years of research experience after MVSc/MPharm/ME/MTech.
Desirable: Candidates having strong experience in electrophysiological techniques and also having proficiency in advanced Molecular Biology, Gene cloning and Mutagenesis etc. Experience in doing patch clamp (current and voltage) recordings from Xenopus oocytes or in HEK293, TSA cells will be preferred.
Those who have submitted Ph.D. thesis may also apply.
Rs. 36,000/- pm + 30% HRA for first year, Rs. 38,000/- + 30% HRA for second year, Rs.
40,000/- + 30% HRA for third Year.

“Role of Nuclear Matrix Protein SMAR1 as Regulator of Suppressor T cell in Inflammatory Bowel Disease(IBD)” project  of Dr. Samit Chattopadhyay, Scientist ‘G’
32 Years
Essential: M. Sc. or equivalent degree with minimum of 55% marks in any branch of life science and at least two years of post-M.Sc. research experience.
Rs. 28,000/- pm + 30% HRA
One Year and Eleven Months
03- JRF Junior Research Fellow (One Post)

Desirable: Proficiency in Gene cloning, Mutagenesis, Protein expression, protein refolding & purification, Candidate familiar with Crystallization & X-ray structure analysis is desirable. Previous research experience will be preferred.

Three Years
04- JRF Junior Research Fellow (One Post)
“An attractive and promising strategy for early cancer diagnosis through the assembly of the human cancer volatome” project of Dr. Srikanth Rapole, Scientist ‘D’
28 Years
Essential: M. Sc. or equivalent degree in chemistry or any branch of life science with minimum of 55% marks and having qualified NET/GATE/LS/BET.
Desirable: Experience in metabolomics, proteomics. Clinical Research and LC-MS, MALDI-MS, GC-MS analysis. Candidate ready to travel many places for collecting clinical samples may be given preference.

28 Years
Essential: M. Sc. or equivalent degree with minimum of 55% marks in any branch of life science and having qualified NET/GATE/LS/BET. Rs.
25,000/- pm + 20% HRA for first and second year, Rs. 28,000/- + 20% HRA for third year.
Two Years and Eleven Months
06- PA Project Assistant (One Post)
Identification and characterization of novel potential biomarkers for breast cancer using gel-based (2-D DIGE) and LCbased (iTRAQ-LC-MS) proteomic approaches and bioinformatics tools” project of Dr. Srikanth Rapole, Scientist ‘D’
28 Years
Essential: M. Sc. or equivalent degree in chemistry or any branch of life science with minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable: Experience in clinical research work in the field of proteomics. Candidate ready to travel many places for collecting clinical samples may be given preference.

07- PA Project Assistant (One Post)
“Population structure of root-nodulating bacteria associated with pea cultivated in differnet agro-climatic regions of India” project of Dr. Praveen Rahi, Scientist ‘B’ – MCC
28 Years
Essential: M. Sc. or equivalent degree with minimum of 55% marks in any branch of life science.
Desirable: Preference will be given to applicants with experience in microbiology and molecular biology techniques.
Rs. 12,000/- pm (fixed)

Interviews will be conducted as per the serial numbers mentioned herein below:-
image Applications in the prescribed format* duly filled in along with attested copies of all relevant certificates showing date of birth, experience, details of the exam passed (SSC onwards), caste status and other necessary documents should reach to The Director, National Centre For Cell Science, S. P. Pune University Campus, Post: Ganeshkhind, Pune – 411 007, Maharashtra, India on or before 26.04.2016. The A4 size envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters on the top as under: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF EXTRAMURAL PROJECT- ”.
List of shortlisted candidates called for interview will be published on our institute website on or after 02/05/2016.
