JRF at NIAB


NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow for a DBT funded project entitled ‘Elucidation of the Role of Non-structural (W) Protein of Avian Paramyxoviruses’ Principal Investigator: Dr Madhuri Subbiah
Fellowship: 25,000 plus 30% HRA p.m.
Eligibility: Postgraduate Degree in life sciences with NET qualification or Postgraduate degree in professional course. (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014). However Non-NET candidates can also apply who will be paid as per their eligibility.
Candidate having previous work experience in the areas of Virology, Microbiology, Cell Culture and Molecular Biology are preferred.
Age: 28 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions).
Duration: The appointment will be for 1 year initially and is extendable subject to annual review and is coterminus with the duration of the project. For submission of application and other details, please visit NIAB website: www.niab.org.in
