Walk-in-interview for appointment to the post of Junior Research Fellow under DBT (Govt. of India) sponsored research project entitled, “Development of nanodelivery system of DNA based RNAi vaccine against WSSV in tiger shrimp, Peneaus monodon”, will be held on 27th January, 2015 at CIFE, Yari Road campus. The appointment will be on contractual basis and the incumbent shall not have any claim for regular appointment under ICAR. The tenure of the project is three years (August, 2012 to July, 2015). However, the continuation of the Research Fellows in the project will depend on his/her performance.
Junior Research Fellow
Eligibility Master’s degree in Fisheries/ Animal Science/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology/ Zoology and allied fields and should have qualified with NET/GATE or equivalent.
Desirable Working experience on nanotechnology, molecular genetics tools, live shrimp experiment, necessary computer knowledge for recording and analyzing data and scientific manuscript writing experience
Method of Selection Selection shall be done on the basis of the interview
Emoluments Rs. 16000+ HRA for first two years, Rs. 18000/ + HRA for third year. No
accommodation will be provided.
Candidates without NET/GATE may also be considered. The emoluments for those will be Rs. 12000/- +HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 14000/- +HRA for 3rd year
Age Limit Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on 31/12/2014 (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules)
Interested candidates may appear in the Walk-in-interview on 27th January, 2015 and report between 10.30 AM to 11.30 AM at Joint Director’s Committee Room, CIFE, Yari Road Campus, Panch Marg, Versova, Andheri (W), Mumbai – 4000 61 along with applications giving full curriculum vitae with one set of attested copies of testimonials and certificates, original age proof and one self-attested passport size photograph. Original certificates/degrees will be verified before the walk-in-interview. Experience certificate(s) from the employer(s) must be brought. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate.
