The Head, Division of Vegetable Science, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit 1 post of Post-Doctoral Fellow and 4 posts of Senior Research Fellow under the programme mentioned below purely on contractual/temporary basis.

Dr. Pritam Kalia
Institute Challenge Programme on Hybrid Development in Important Vegetable Crops

Post Doctoral Fellow

Essential: Ph.D. degree in Vegetable Science/Horticulture/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Plant Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Botany/Plant Sciences with research work related to breeding/Molecular breeding/ Transformation in vegetable crops. NET qualified and knowledge/Experience in application of molecular markers for marker assisted selection.

Desirable: Knowledge/experience in transformation techniques and PCR based molecular techniques; working experience in Computer Applications.

Dr. T.K. Behera
Project Title: “ DUS testing in bottle gourd, cucumber, bitter gourd and pumpkin”- Funded by PPV&FRA.

Senior Research Fellow

Essential: M.Sc. in Veg. Science/Hort./ Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences/Botany/Plant Sciences with research work related to vegetable breeding.

Desirable: NET qualified. Knowledge of morphological characterization in vegetable crops.

Dr. Pritam Kalia
Project Title: DBT Project on “‘Or’ gene intro-gression……… ..in Indian Cauliflower”.

Senior Research Fellows

Essential: M.Sc. degree in Vegetable Science/Olericulture/ Horticulture/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Botany/Seed Science/Plant Science with research work related to breeding/production technology of vegetable crops.

Desirable: Experience of conducting breeding trials and handling breeding segregating generation in vegetable crops/molecular markers. Working experience in Computer Applications. NET qualifications.

Senior Research Fellow

Essential:
M.Sc. in Veg. Science/Hort./Agriculture/Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences/Botany/Plant Sciences with research work related to vegetable crops.

Desirable: NET qualified. Knowledge of morphological characterization in vegetable breeding.

Eligible candidates may appear for interview on Thursday, the 9th  January, 2014 at 10.00 A.M. along with application form.
