Applications are invited from highly promising and ambitious candidates for the post of JRF in the DST-UKIERI funded project entitled “Conjugation of wild silk proteins with polymer brushes for Biomedical Applications”. The project is a joint collaboration program between Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology, Karnatak University and School of Engineering and Materials Science, Queen Mary University of London, under the UK India Education Research Initiative. The selected candidate will be expected to carry out part of research work at Queen Mary University of London during the tenure of the project.

Essential Qualification : M. Sc in any life science subject with NET/GATE/SLET

Desirable : The candidate is expected to have Knowledge of  Polymer chemistry and research experience in Biomaterials

Consolidated monthly : Rs.16,000 p.m + 10% HRA

Emoluments
Project duration : Two years
