INTERVIEW FOR TEMPORARY POSITIONS OF RESEARCH ASSOCIATE &
JUNIOR & SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW UNDER THE DBT PROJECTS

1) DBT Project – 'Mobilizing QTL/Genes for quality Traits into High Yielding Wheat Varieties Through Marker-Assisted Selection’ (SP-179, period up to 22.09.2014)  [Post Code: RA/JRF/GEN/SP-179]
2) DBT Project – 'Molecular marker assisted development of biotic stress resistant wheat varieties' (SP-181, period up to 23.09.2014) [Post Code: SRF/GEN/SP-181]
3. Group/ Division Genetics Group of Plant Sciences Division.
RA under SP-179- Essential: Ph.D. in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture/ Biochemistry with publications in SCI Journals Desirable: Experience in molecular markers/wheat quality analysis.
JRF under SP-179-
Essential: (i) 1st class M.Sc. in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture/ Agricultural. Biotechnology and (ii) clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET for JRF. Desirable: Experience in molecular markers/wheat quality analysis.
4. Qualifications
SRF under SP-181-
Essential: 1st class M.Sc. in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture/ Biochemistry with 2 years of research experience as evidenced by 1-2 publications.
Desirable: Experience in handling molecular techniques.
5. Monthly stipend i)RA-Rs.22000/- (fixed)+HRA, ii)JRF- Rs.12000/- (fixed)+HRA, iii)SRF- Rs.14000/- (fixed) + HRA
6. Age limit
i) RA - 35 years, JRF-28 years & SRF-30 years (relaxation of 3 years for OBC & 5 years for SC/ST & female candidates).
7. Last date for receipt  of application 21.10.2013 up to 17.30 hrs.
8. Display the short list  of candidates for  interview
Will be displayed on Institute website by 23.10.2013 and/ or, candidates will be informed through e-mail.  9. Date & time of Int. 25.10.2013 at 10.00 a.m.
Note: No T.A. is admissible for attending interview and selected candidate will have no right of appointment against any ARI or funding agency’s post.
i)In case of non-availability of qualified RA, candidates having 1st class M.Sc. degree in the above subjects and who have submitted their Ph. D thesis, may be considered for the lower position of Extended SRF on monthly stipend @ Rs.16000/- (fixed) + HRA.
ii)In case of non-availability of qualified JRF, Candidates with 1st class M.Sc. in the subjects mentioned above may be considered for lower position of Research Student on a monthly stipend @ Rs.11000/- (fixed) p.m. as per ARI rules.
iii)In case of non-availability of qualified SRF, candidates with 1st class M.Sc. in the subject mentioned above may be considered for lower position of JRF or Research Student, as per rules.
Candidates fulfilling above conditions may apply in the prescribed format available on the Institute’s website http://www.aripune.org., along with attested copies of
qualifications, certificates, Passport size photograph, caste certificate issued by competent authority (for reserved category) and application fee of Rs.100/- (for RA) & Rs.50/- (for JRF & SRF), payable by Demand Draft only in favor of Agharkar Research Institute, Pune, up to 21.10.2013. The prescribed essential qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be called for interview. In case number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
