JRF and SRF

Applications are invited for award of two JRFs (01-Unreserved Female and 01-Sc categories) on a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 12000/- in the project entitled “Programme Mode Support in Agricultural Biotechnology, Phase- II”, under the Coordinatorship Dr. Anil Kumar, Co-Coordinatorship Dr. Sandeep Arora and PIs-Dr Anil Kumar/Dr J Kumar respectively. One JRF is reserved for unreserved Female and other JRF post is reserved for SC category candidate. In case candidate from the designated category are not available then posts then shall be filled by general category candidates.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
JRF -01 (Department of Molecular Biology & Genetic Engineering)
M.Sc. Biotechnology/ M.Sc. Biochemistry/ M.Sc. Bioinformatics
JRF -01 (Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding)
Applicant possessing M.Sc. /M.Sc. (Ag.) degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology
OR
Applications are invited for award of two SRFs (01-Sc and 01-OBC categories) on a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 14000/- in the project entitled “Programme Mode Support in Agricultural Biotechnology, Phase- II ”, under the Coordinatorship Dr. Anil Kumar, Co-Coordinatorship Dr. Sandeep Arora and PIs-Dr Anil Kumar/Dr J Kumar respectively. One SRF is reserved for Sc category and other SRF post is reserved for OBC category candidate. In case candidate from the designated category are not available then posts then shall be filled by general category candidates.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
SRF-01 (Department of Molecular Biology & Genetic Engineering)
M.Sc. Biotechnology/ M.Sc. Biochemistry/ M.Sc. Bioinformatics with two year research experiences for SRF is essential.
SRF-01 (Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding)
Applicant possessing M.Sc. /M.Sc. (Ag.) degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology with two year research experiences for SRF is essential.
The sub-projects are given below:
1. “Molecular characterization of calcium signaling and transport machinery of finger millet (Eleusine coracana) towards development of superior genotypes and nutraceuticals for calcium biofortification”
(PI: Dr. Anil Kumar; Co-PI: Dr. Arun Gupta, Dr. A.K. Sharma, Dr. B.R. Singh)
2. “Genetic Enhancement of aromatic rice landraces throughmolecular breeding to develop high yielding, idea plant type, blast resistance and better quality aromatic rice varieties for wider adoptability by farmers”
(PI: Dr. J. Kumar; Co-PI: Dr. A.K. Gaur, Dr. I.D. Pandey)
The fellowship is purely temporary and may continue till the duration of the project or maximum three years which ever is earlier. The appointment shall be given on six monthly review basis.
Candidates possessing the above qualifications may submit their application on plain paper in the following format to the undersigned latest by 27.10.2013 the interviews will be held on the 28.10.2013 at 3.00 PM in the office of the undersigned. No separate letter for interview will be issued or any TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
