Walk-in Interview

The following purely temporary positions are to be filled up in two ad-hoc projects for varying period on time to time extension. The posts are co-terminus with the projects.

Project-1: ICMR funded project “Evidence based assessment of biophysical determinants of malaria in the northeastern states of India and development of framework for adaptation measures for malaria control under climate change scenarios”

1. Research Scientist (One)

Essential Qualification: Masters degree in life/ Biological/environmental Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent.

OR

Second class Masters Degree in Life sciences/ Biological/environmental Sciences with Ph.D Degree from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualification:

1. PhD degree with first class Masters Degree in relevant subject from a recognized University.
2. Three years research experience in relevant field/ vector borne diseases
3. Knowledge of computer applications and analytical skills.

Pay: Rs. 42,420 consolidated including 30% HRA

Age limit: 35 years

2. Research Associate (One)

Essential Qualification: 1. PhD degree in Life / Biological/environmental sciences from a recognized university or equivalent.

2. Up to 3 years experience post doctoral research experience.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in vector borne diseases.

Pay: Rs. 23,000/- (Consolidated) + HRA

Age limit: 40 years

Note: At present the project is for a period of about one year. The incumbent will be posted at field site out of Delhi.

3. Field Assistant (One)

Essential Qualification: 10+2 with science subject or equivalent from recognized board with one year certificate in required discipline

Desirable: 10+2 with science subjects or equivalent from a recognized board with One year field experience

Pay: Rs. 13,072/-pm (Consolidated)

Age limit: up to 28 years

4. Field Attendant (One)

Essential Qualification: 10^th pass

Desirable: One year of experience in laboratory/field work

Pay: Rs. 12,040/- pm (Consolidated)

Age limit: 28 years

5. Driver (One)

Essential Qualification: 10^th standard pass with LMV/HMV License with 2 years experience in recognized organization.

Desirable: Experience of driving in hilly area

Pay: Rs. 12,212/- pm (Consolidated)

Age limit: 25 years

Project-2: DST funded project “Mapping of Malaria Risk in the context of Climate Change in India”

1. Research Associate (One)

Essential Qualification: PhD degree in Life / Biological science from a recognized university or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in vector borne diseases and well versed with computer applications.

Pay: Rs. 31,200/- Consolidated (including HRA)

Age limit: 40 years

2. Senior Research Fellow (Two)

Essential Qualification: Masters degree in life/ Biological Sciences/ Earth Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent with

1. Two years research experience in relevant field/ vector borne diseases/ GIS/ Remote Sensing
2. Knowledge of computer applications and analytical skills.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in vector borne diseases.

Pay: Rs. 23,400/- (Consolidated)

Age limit: 35 years

3. Project Assistant (One)

Essential Qualification: Masters degree in life/ Biological Sciences/ Earth Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent

Pay: Rs. 8000/- pm (Consolidated)

Age limit: 28 years

Interested and eligible candidates may walk in for interview on 6^th June, 2013 at 10:30am for the posts at Sl. No 1 and 2 in project 1 and all posts in project 2 at NIMR, Dwarka, New Delhi along with their original credentials and NOC from the employer if already employed. For the posts mentioned at Sl. No. 3, 4 and 5 in Project 1 the walk in interview will be held at project field unit, behind Post office, Bokajan, Karbi Anglong (Assam) at 2:00 pm on 11^th June, 2013. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview. Interested candidates may send their bio-data to the Director in advance. Relaxation in the age for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. norms.
