Walk-in Interview
Walk-in interview will be held on 24nd May 2013 at the NRCPB at 10:30 AM for filling Two positions of Research Associate and one position of Senior Research Fellow in the National Fund and NAIP projects, respectively. The positions are temporary and are initially offered till 31-3-2014. Details such as emoluments, qualifications, application format etc., are given in our web site http://www.nrcpb.org/. Desirous candidates should report for interview latest by 11:00 AM along with the application in the prescribed format. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
Position: Senior Research Fellow
Project Title: Unraveling molecular processes involved in adventive polyembryony towards genetic engineering for fixation of heterosis
Funding: NAIP (ICAR), closing on 31-3-2014
Emoluments: Rs 16,000/- per month + 30% HRA. Other benefits will be regulated as per existing norms in the ICAR.
Qualifications:
Essential- First class Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Plant Breeding, Plant Sciences, Life Sciences
Desirable- Hands on experience of molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA related), genetics and bioinformatics related to molecular biology/genomics.
Age limit: 35 yrs (Man), 40 yrs (Woman) (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules)
Position: Research Associate
Project Title: Molecular and genetic analyses of guggul for the identification of genes governing adventive embryony
Funding: National Fund for Basic, Strategic & Frontier Application Research in Agriculture (ICAR) closing on 31-3-2017
Emoluments: Rs 24,000/- per month for Ph.D. holders and Rs. 23,000/- per month for those possessing a Master’s Degree. HRA @ 30% and others benefits will be regulated as per existing norms in the Council.
Educational Qualifications:
Essential – First Class Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Botany, Life Sciences, with at least two years research experience.
Desirable - Ph.D., working experience in gene cloning, Bioinformatics, high throughput DNA/RNA sequencing and data analysis, plant transformation.
Age limit: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on the interview. (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules)
