Title of the Project: “Phenomics of moisture deficit and low temperature stress tolerance in rice”.
Funding: National Fund for Basic Strategic and Frontier Application Research in Agriculture (NFBSFARA), ICAR, New Delhi.
Objectives of the Project:
1. Establishment of a medium capacity high precision Plant Phenomics Facility and standardization of operation.
2. Precision phenotyping of a contrasting set of rice germplasm for soil moisture deficit and low temperature stress tolerance and creation of phenome database.
3. Identification of the role of candidate genes in moisture deficit and low temperature stress tolerance
4. Human resource development in the area of Plant Phenomics
Senior Research Fellow
Rs. 16000/- + 30% HRA per month for I & II year; and 18000/- + 30% HRA from III yr onwards
Essential : M.Sc. in Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Microbiology or any branch of Life Sciences
Desirable: Experience in tissue culture, development and analysis of transgenic plants
