Applications are invited for a project assistant position in the Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance sponsored project entitled “Genetic analysis of crossover assurance mechanisms facilitating meiotic chromosome segregation”.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in either Bioinformatics / Computational Biology/
Computer Science / Computer applications with minimum of 55% marks.
Experience:
Applicants should have strong programing skills in either Java / C /
Perl /Python and also R language. Prior experience with analysing Next
Generation Sequencing data and softwares like SAMtools, Galaxy is
desirable.
Salary: Rs. 16,000/- plus HRA per month.
Duration: Initial appointment for one year (extendable for additional two years based on performance)

temporary. While the candidate may apply for Ph.D program of the
institute separately, appointment in the project does not guarantee such
admission. Mere fulfilment of qualifications/experience requirements

should bring originals of the certificate for the qualifying degrees as
well as the category certificate, if applicable, during the interview.
