Walk in interview for the post of JRF & RA for Gujarat Genomics Initiative, Gujarat Biodiversity Gene Bank, LeoGen, TFC, Bio-A-Corn and Bit Virtual, GSBTM
A walk-in interview will be held on 29-8-2011 to select candidates for the below mentioned positions for Gujarat Genomics Initiative,Gujarat Biodiversity Gene Bank,LeoGen, TFC, Bio-A-Corn and Bit Virtual,GSBTM, DST, GoG. Desirous candidates may report for interview on 29-8-2011from 10:30 onwards up to 14:00 hrs.at Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, DST, Block-11, 9th Floor, Udyog Bhavan, Gandhinagar – 382011, along with six copies of Bio-data and original certificates/testimonials.
1. JRF
As per DST Guidelines
M. Sc. in Plant Sciences or Biotechnology and Allied Areas with 1-2 yrs experience shall be preferred Gujarat Biodiversity Gene Bank [BioGene]
2. JRF – 2
As per DST Guidelines
M. Sc. in Biotechnology and Allied Areas with 1-2 yrs experience shall be preferred
Gujarat Genomics Initiative [GGI]
3. JRF – 2
As per DST Guidelines
M. Sc. in Biotechnology and Allied Areas with 1-2 yrs experience shall be preferred
LeoGen- Pilot Project on DNA Banking and Development of Microsatellite Markers for Asiatic Lion
4 JRF – 3
As per DST Guidelines
M. Sc. degree in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology and Allied Areas. Minimum one year experience in Research, Bioinformatics database development, Software Development and Tutorial development shall be preferred.

M. Sc. in Biotechnology and Allied Areas with 1-2 yrs experience shall be preferred
Technology Facilitation Cell [TFC]
6. JRF
As per DST Guidelines
M. Sc. in Biotechnology and Allied Areas with 1 yr of experience.
Experience in the area of documentation and awareness generation in Biotechnology/Science shall be preferred.
Bio-A-Corn-Biotechnology Awareness Corner.The project work include scientific documentation, preparation of scientific awareness / information material, it may require extensive travelling across the state.
7. RA
As per DST Guidelines
Candidate should have Doctorate degree in Biotechnology and allied areas or having 3 years of research experience after M. Sc. in Biotechnology and allied areas
Gujarat Genomics Initiative [GGI]
The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis for an initial period of 11 months, which may be extended after satisfactory performance of the incumbent till termination of the project. There is no provision of re-engagement after termination of the project. The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment, as the fellowship is co-terminus of respective project. The candidates appeared for the interview may be selected for other project/position if there is a vacancy.No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
