DBT, GOI funded research project "Next Generation Sequencing and Genome Information of Parasite Biodiversity of medico-veterinary significance in North-East India" in DBT's Twinning programme for NE, sanctioned for a period of 3 years to Prof. Veena Tandon (Principal investigator]. Shri Devendra Kr. Biswal (Information Officer, CO-PI) in the Bioinformatics Centre, NEHU, Shillong and Prof. Alok Bhattacharjee (Principal Investigator, from the collaborating lnstitute), Jawahar Lal University, New Delhi.
Research Associate (One) @ Rs. 22,000/- p.m. plus HRA 10%
Qualifications: Doctorate in Zoology/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/MTech in cognate subjects.Desirable: Familiarity with Bioinformatics principles and Next Gen Sequencing will be preferred.
JRF (One) @ Rs. 16,000/- p.m. for the 1st two years and upgradation to SRF for the third year @ Rs.18,000 plus HRA 10% only if JRF/SRF is NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified, otherwise @ Rs. 12,000 + HRA for the 1st two years and SRFfor the third year @ Rs. 14,000 plus HRA 10%.
Qualifications: M.Sc in Zoology/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics.
Desirable: Aptitude for Bioinformatics and Computer Programming/ specialization in Animal Parasitology
