Applications are invited for the recruitment of project positions under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Unit of Excellence (U-Excel) project entitled “Understanding Acidic soil tolerance in Blackgram grown in North-east (Assam) India” at the Department of Life Science and Bioinformatics, Assam University, Silchar, Assam -788011. The duration of the project is for three years. The details of the post are:
1. Junior/Senior Research Fellow : One position
2. Research Associate: One Position
3. Emoluments: JRF: Rs.25,000/ + HRA for the 1st two years and Rs 28,000/- + HRA for the 3rd year for SRF and applicable only if JRF/SRF is NET/GATE/DBTBET/BINC qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs 12,000/- +HRA only for the 1st two years (for JRF) and Rs 14,000/- + HRA for the 3rd year (for SRF). Research Associate: Rs. 36,000+ HRA
4. The candidates must possess minimum 60% marks in M Sc. in Life Science/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Botany or related discipline with good academic records for the JRF/SRF position.
Preference will be given to candidates having demonstrated experience in the related research.
For Research Associate position the candidate should have a Ph.D degree or have submitted the Ph.D degree in the relevant fields as mentioned above.
