JRF and SRF at Himachal Pradesh

Applications are invited for purely project based positions on temporary basis. Candidates having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject consistently with good academic record and experience may apply as given below.
1. Senior Research Fellow/Junior Research Fellow (01)
M. Sc. in Botany/Forestry/Biotechnology/Environmental Science with first Division from the recognized University, with minimum two years research experience for SRF.
Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in the relevant field.
All India Coordinated DBT funded project entitled “Preventing extinction and improving conservation status of threatened plants through applications of biotechnological tools”(PI: Dr. S.S. Samant )
2. Junior Research Fellow (01)
M. Sc. in Botany/Forestry/Biotechnology/Environmental Science with first Division from the recognized University
Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in the relevant field.
Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) funded project entitled “Vulnerability assessment of mountain ecosystems due to climate change: Ecosystem structure and functioning”(PI: Dr. S.S. Samant )
4. Junior Research Fellow/ Senior Research Fellow (01 No)
M.Sc. in Botany/Zoology/Life sciences/ Environmental Science with first Division from the recognized University, with minimum two years research experience for SRF.
Research work in bioremediation of soil, air and water pollution with molecular and biochemical approaches
DST funded project entitled “Study of heavy metals transfer from contaminated soil to food chain and their risk to human health in Himachal Pradesh” (P.I.: Dr. R.K. Sharma)
Age Limit: Senior Research Fellow (SRF): 32 years; Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 28 years; Field Assistant (FA) 35 years; relaxation for SC/ST/Women/PH and OBC as per Govt. norms.
Emoluments: For SRF Rs. 18,000/- + 10% H.R.A (NET qualified) or Rs. 14,000/- + 10% H.R.A (Without Net); JRF, Rs. 16,000 + 10% H.R.A. (NET qualified) or Rs. 12,000 + 10% H.R.A. (Without NET) and FA Rs. 6,000/- (fixed). (For IIRS funded project JRF- Rs. 16,000/- + 10% H.R.A.).
