Walk in interview for the following temporary positions, purely on contractual basis, as required under following Consultancy projects will be held on 19.08.2013 in the chamber of Dy. Director General (Extension) Room No. 145, ICFRE H. Q. building, Forest Research Institute Campus, Dehradun from 03 pm onwards:

1. Cumulative Impact Assessment Studies of Hydropower Projects on River Yamuna and Tons & its Tributaries in Uttarakhand

2. Reclamation and Rehabilitation Plan for the areas affected by mining activity in Bellary, Chitradurga and Tumkur districts, Karnataka

Project Associate 01

23,000/- (with M. Sc) or  24,000/- (with Ph. D) (Consolidated)

First Class Post Graduate in discipline of Botany / Forestry having 3 years relevant experience or Ph. D in discipline of Botany / Forestry in plant taxonomy / vegetation survey / Plant Biodiversity assessment studies. Working experience and knowledge in Environmental Impact Assessment studies and Environmental management of developmental projects Working experience of computer and preparation of reports

Age: Upper age limit for Project Associate is 35 years which is relaxable up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women, PH, and OBC as per ICFRE Rules. The criteria for selection of the candidate may be relaxed in exceptional cases at the discretion of the management.

Period: Vacancies are initially for a period of one year or till the completion of projects whichever is earlier. May be extended at the discretion of the competent authority if need so arises.

General Conditions: Awards of the assignment on contract are governed by the prevailing Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education Rules and other relevant Rules as applicable, and do not guarantee subsequent employment under the Council. All interested and eligible candidates must report on 19.08.2013 by 10 am at the office of ADG (EM) at ICFRE H.Q. Room No.137, Dehradun with their complete and signed Bio-data and Original Testimonials. The candidates shall submit their resume with attested copies of testimonials and recent passport size 01 photograph with their application. Applicants not fulfilling the required qualifications and conditions will not be considered. Decision of the selection committee to determine the eligibility or criteria for selection will be final and binding on applicants. Based on interview, a panel of suitable candidates may also be made with one year validity.
