Applications are invited for a NET qualified student to work as a Junior Research Fellow in a CSIR funded project entitled “Evaluation of age-associated alterations in anti-oxidative defence in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and its role in accumulation of oxidative stress” under the supervision of Dr. Nilanjana Das, Department of Biotechnology, Visva-Bharati.
The fellowship amount is @ 12,000/-p.m for 1st & 2nd year and @14,000/-p.m for 3rd year plus applicable HRA (as per CSIR Guidelines)
Essential qualification: M.Sc in any discipline of Life Science with minimum 55% marks and NET qualified. Age limit: 28 years.
Desirable Qualification: Specialization/Research experience in Biochemistry/Microbiology
The eligible candidates may send their application with detailed bio-data, research experience, letter of intent and attested copy of mark sheets/certificates/testimonials before November 15, 2012 to the PI at Department of Biotechnology, Siksha Bhavana, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan 731 235. Candidates will be shortlisted based on letter of intent and research experience. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email for the interview. The project duration is 3 yrs. Student will have to work in the Department of Biotechnology, Visva-Bharati where he/she can also register for Ph.D degree The positions are purely temporary and co- terminus with the project.
