RA and SRF

Walk in interview for the posts of RA and SRFs (Unreserved)
Two posts for Research Associate and six posts of SRF are available in the Division of Genetics in the DBT and CSIR NMITLI funded projects purely on contractual basis (as indicated below). The interview will be held on 19th November 2012 at 10.30 AM for post at S. No. 1 -2 and for the posts listed at S. No. 3 - 6 will be held on 20th November, 2012 at 10.30 AM in Technology Cell, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110 012.
Terms & Conditions
(i) Age limit: Maximum age is 35 years for SRF and 40 years for RA (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC)
(ii) The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially up to March 2013, or till the termination of the project which-ever is earlier.
1. Research Associate
Project: DBT Funded Project on “MAS for improvement of pro-vitamin A in rice”
Rs. 22000 + 30% HRA (as per DST guidelines)
Ph.D. in chemistry/ Biochemistry/Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with experience in handling HPLC and carotenoid analysis.
2. Research Associate
Project: DBT Funded Project on “MAS for improvement of pro-vitamin A in rice
Rs. 22000 + 30% HRA (as per DST guidelines)
Candidate with Doctorate in Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Molecular Biology and Biotechnology with experience in handling molecular markers
3. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – 2 Posts
One each in DBT Funded projects “MAS for improvement of pro-vitamin A in rice “ and “MAS for improvement of biotic stress resistance in rice
Rs. 12000 + 30% HRA for Masters degree in Basic Science with NET qualification for lectureship
OR
Rs. 14000 + 30% HRA for Masters degree in Basic Science with NET and 2 years of experience
OR
Rs. 16000 + 30% HRA for Masters degree in Basic Science with NET (JRF)
M.Sc. in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences. Experience in handling molecular markers.
Desirable: Experience in handling rice crop.
4. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
in DBT Funded project on “Metabolic and Molecular profiling of aromatic rice germplasm of India for gaining insights about aroma
M.Sc. in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences. Experience in handling molecular markers.
Desirable: Experience in handling rice crop.
5. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in CSIR-NMTLI Project on “Marker assisted creation of heterotic pools........... in rice”
Rs. 18000 + + 30% HRA for Masters degree in Basic Science with 2 years of experience
OR
Rs. 16000 + 30% HRA for Masters degree in Basic Science
M.Sc. in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences. Experience in handling molecular markers.
Desirable: Experience in handling rice crop.
6. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) 2 posts in NAIP funded project on “Bioprospecting and allele mining for abiotic stress tolerance
Rs. 16000/ month + 30% HRA for Masters degree in Basic Science
M.Sc. in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences. Experience in handling molecular markers.
Desirable: Experience in handling rice crop.
Terms & Conditions
(i) Age limit: Maximum age is 35 years for SRF and 40 years for RA (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC)
(ii) The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially up to March 2013, or till the termination of the project which-ever is earlier.
(iii) The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
(iv) The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 19th November, 2012 (for posts at S. No. 1-2) and on 20th November, 2012 (for posts at S. No. 3-6)
(v) Reporting time: 9:30 to 10:00 AM Venue: Technology Cell, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi – 110012
(vi) The candidates will have to compulsorily bring the filled in application form (as per the format annexed), all the original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, M.Sc/Ph.D. certificate either original or provisional and one set of the self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph pasted onto the application form
(vii) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(viii) Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
(ix) Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
(x) The candidates are required to submit the application in at the time of interview as per the format annexed along with the declaration
(xi) The candidate intending to visit for interview, if any of his near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach by 15th November July, 2012. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
(xii) All the other candidates are also required compulsorily to furnish the declaration duly signed in the format annexed and submit on the date of interview.
(xiii) The candidates have to strictly submit the from annexed (typed/ filled) duly signed and submit on the date of interview
Reporting time for interview: 9:30-10.00 AM for post at S No. 1-2 on 19th November 2012 and 9:30-10.00 AM for posts at S. No. 3 - 6 on 20th November 2012.
