Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following post on purely time bound research project undertaken at the School of Biotechnology, NIT Calicut.

Salary: 16,000 p.m.;

Age limit: Not more than 28 years

Duration: All appointments on contract basis shall be initially for a period of one year subject to extension up to a maximum of three years depending upon the performance.

Qualification: Post-graduate degree in Life Science/Biochemistry/Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks. Candidate must have passed NET examination conducted by UGC/CSIR/ICMR.

Desired qualifications: Hands on experience in animal/neuronal cell culture, western blot and HPLC.

Date of test/interview: 19-04-2012; Thursday 09:30 am [written test, followed by the interview].

Otherwise, you will have to give a declaration that at present you are un-employed.

The incumbent selected will have no claim for regular appointments under ICMR/NITC or continuation of his/her services in any other project. No benefit of provident fund, HRA, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. will be considered.
