Walk-in-Interview

The Director, NBPGR, Pusa Campus, New Delhi wishes to recruit outstanding experienced personnel-02 SRF; 01 SRF and 01 Project Assistant;

01 SRF (purely contract basis) under HMNEH-MM I projects entitled

(i) Management And Multiplication of Plant Genetic Resources (PGR) of Kiwi and Kagzi Nimbu

(ii) Establishment of Mother Blocks For Bud Wood Production of Citrus and Kiwi

(iii) Popularization of Geranium, Lavender and Rosemary Among Local Farming Communities of Uttarakhand respectively for duration of the projects.

Details of the positions is given below:

(A) Project entitled : Management And Multiplication of Plant Genetic Resources (PGR) of Kiwi and Kagzi Nimbu

1. Post Two Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

2. Educational Qualification : M. Sc.- Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Botany/ Biotechnology.

3. Desirable :

(i) Knowledge of propagation methods of fruits plants with working knowledge of computer.
(ii) Experience in maintaining horticultural plants in glass house complex/ field gene bank.
(iii) Knowledge of Horticultural/ Agricultural crop plants of Uttrarakhand hills.

4. Emoluments : Rs. 16000/- + HRA (as applicable)

(B) Project entitled : Establishment of Mother Blocks For Bud Wood Production of Citrus and Kiwi

1. Post One Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and One Project Assistant

2. Educational Qualification :

SRF- M. Sc.- Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Botany/ Biotechnology.

Project Assistant - B. Sc.-Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Botany/Biotechnology.

3. Desirable :

SRF:

(i) Knowledge of propagation methods of fruits plants with working knowledge of computer.
(ii) Experience in maintaining horticultural plants in glass house complex/ field gene bank.
(iii) Knowledge of Horticultural/ Agricultural crop plants of Uttrarakhand hills.

Assistant:

(i) Experience of propagation techniques of horticultural plants with working knowledge of computer.
(ii) Experience of maintaining horticultural plants in glass house complex/ field gene bank.
(iii) Knowledge of Horticultural/ Agricultural crop plants of Uttrarakhand hills.

4. Emoluments : SRF: Rs. 16000/- + HRA (as applicable); Assistant: Rs. 8000/- (consolidated)

(C) Project entitled Popularization of Geranium, Lavender and Rosemary Among Local Farming Communities of Uttarakhand

1. Post One Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

2. Educational Qualification : M. Sc.- Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Botany/ Biotechnology.

3. Desirable :

(i) Knowledge of propagation method in aromatic plants with working knowledge of computer.
(ii) Experience in nursery management of aromatic plants in glass house complex/ field gene bank/herbal garden/farmer’s field.
(iii) Knowledge of Horticultural/ Agricultural crop plants of Uttrarakhand hills.

4. Emoluments : Rs. 16000/- + HRA (as applicable)

5. Age limit:

Less than 35 years as on the date of advertisement with upper age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC & ICAR candidates as per rule.

6. Other Desirable :

Personnel’s who have worked earlier at NBPGR and its regional stations will be given due weight age.

7. Duration of the Post:

Till March 2012, likely to be continued, depending on the progress of the work.

8. Place of Posting : NBPGR (ICAR) Regional Station Bhowali-263 132 Niglat, Distt. Nainital (Uttarakhand)

All the posts are on purely temporary basis, coterminous with the projects. The candidates will not have any claim to be regularized at NBPGR/ ICAR and committee’s decision will be final. Candidates who fulfill the above qualification and experience should present themselves personally and submit their application in the prescribed proforma along with originals and photocopies of testimonials before interview committee on September 15, 2011 (Thursday) at 11.00 AM in the office of Officer In Charge, NBPGR, R/S Bhowali, Niglat, District - Nainital, (Uttarakhand). In Service candidates must bring No Objection Certificate from their present employer. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview.
