Project 1 Metabolite Library of Curcuma Zanga L. and C. aramatica: Construction of Variability in Cultivars and Assessment of Therapeutic Properties (sponsored by DBT), and Project 2 Signal Transduction Components in Guard Cells During Stomatal Closure Induced by Abscisic Acid or Methyl Jasmonate (sponsored by DBT) sanctioned to Prof. A.S. Raghavendra, Department of Plant Sciences, University of Hyderabad.
1. Research Associate (RA) @ Rs. 22,000/- + 30% HRA * pm (fixed).
2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) @ Rs. 18,000/- + 30% HRA * pm (fixed) for UGC-CSIR-NET qualified appointees; Rs. 14,000 + HRA * pm for non NET qualified appointees
3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)@Rs. 16,000 + 30% HRA* pm (fixed) for UGC-CSIR-NET qualified appointees; Rs. 12,000 + HRA * pm for NET-lectureship qualified appointees
4. Lab/Field Assistant @ Rs. 5000/- pm consolidated • If applicable
Qualifications
1. RA : Ph.D. in any area of Biology/Chemistry with/without postdoctoral experience.
2. SRF: M.Sc. in the area of Biology/Chemistry with two years of research experience, preferably with evidence of published work.
3. JRF: M.Sc. in any area of Biology/Chemistry
4. LablField Assistant: Person with experience in growing plants and lab cleaning would be preferred

Candidates with NET-qualification would be preferred for SRF/JRF.
Duration Appointments are made for one year and can be extended until the duration of the project. One RA/SRF position is only until 17th Mar 2011 If suitable candidates are not available, appointment can be made at lower level. Therefore, candidates who are eligible as JRF are encouraged to apply to all posts. Only candidates who would fit into objectives of the projects would be called for interview.
