Applications are invited to attend interview (In-person) for the recruitment of research fellows against vacancies in projects funded by different funding agencies. The interview will be organized on 04th October, 2024 for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (01 Post under GCoE on Millets project), Young Professional-II (02 Post under GCoE on Millets and CABin projects), purely on temporary/contractual basis, co-terminus with the projects, as per the particulars given below. Name of the project Position Fellowship per Month Qualifications 

Project entitled “Omicsbased Interventions for Characterizing the Pearl Millet Genotypes for Rancidity and Development of Nutri-Rich Processed Products with Improved Bioavailability, and Shelf-Life” (GCoE on Millets 12-258 TG3361) 

Junior Research Fellow (One Post) 

Rs. 31000/- per month + HRA@24% for 1 st and 2nd year, Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA@24% for 3 rd year (as per ICAR norms) 

Essential qualifications: Post Graduate Degree (M. Sc.) in Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ from a recognized institution with 4/5 years of Bachelor's degree. Candidates having 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET qualification**. 

Desirable: Experience in gene cloning and characterization, Heterologous expression of gene, basic biochemical techniques/ handling of instruments used in metabolomics, etc. 

Project entitled “Exploring the molecular regulatory networks of nutrient use efficiency and grain quality in wheat under elevated carbon dioxide and heat stress for developing climate resilient wheat” (CABin Project – 21-56 TG3064) 

Young Professional -II (YP-II) (One Post) 

Rs 42000/- pm (consolidated) 

Essential qualifications: Post Graduate Degree (M. Sc.) in Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Environmental Science/ Bioinformatics. 

Desirable: Experience in basic molecular techniques/ biochemical techniques/ Omics data characterization/ gene cloning, etc.

*The house rent allowance will be given as per the existing central government rate applicable in New Delhi.
