JRF Nanoscience and Technology/ Biochemistry at JSS, Mysuru

Applications are invited for a position of Junior Research Fellow to work in DBT- BIRAC sponsored Project: Development of novel silk fibroin based bioink for bioprinting to reconstruct maxillofacial defects. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project. 

Eligibility Criteria: Essential Criteria M.Sc. Nanoscience and Technology/ Biochemistry. 

Experience in handling electrospinning equipment, Fabrication of nanofibers and their characterization. Protein purification and quantification methods - biochemical assays, and size exclusion chromatography methods. 

Experience in protein mass spectrometry techniques. Analytical techniques-FTIR and Raman Spectroscopy techniques. 

Experience in microscopy techniques – Fluorescence Microscopy Use of zetasizer for particle sizing and surface charge analysis. Experience in cell culture (bone cells). 

Desirable Criteria Experience in animal handling and surgery in animal models. Duration of the Project 18 months Fellowship Rs. 31,000/- Any informal queries can be addressed to;
