Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on contract basis to
work in a time bound SERB-DST sponsored research project (CRG/2018/001596) sanctioned
to the undersigned at the Department of Microbiology, Central University of Tamilnadu.
Project Title: Deciphering the role of Kinesin I heavy chain (KIF5B) in Tau hyperphosphorylation, aggregation and neurodegeneration in models of Alzheimer’s disease and tauopathies. Tenure of Position: 1 year, extendable annually till the completion of the project period,subject to satisfactory performance.
Essential Qualification: i) MSc in Life Science/ Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Molecularbiology/ Biotechnology or equivalent with minimum 55% with NET/GATE/ICMR-JRF/DBTJRF/CUCET.
Desirable: To carry out the research work in the field of cell biology, protein expression,molecular biology and animal studies.
Candidates with good experience of molecular biology,cell culture, r-DNA technology/protein expression, will be preferred.
Age limit: 28 years (to be relaxed as per rules of Govt. of India)
No.of Post: 1 post Monthly
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (for NET/GATE/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF/CUCET qualified)+ 10% HRA skills-Qualifications-MScExperience-freshers
