Applications are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in CSIR sponsored research proposal entitled “De novo transcriptome sequencing of Chlorophytum borivilianum using RNA-Seq Technology” to be executed in the Department of Biotechnology, Panjab University, Chandigarh with following terms and conditions:
JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW – 1 (One)
Duration: 3 YEARS
Emoluments: JRF [Rs. 16, 000/- P.M. (Fixed) for first two years] and SRF [Rs. 18, 000/- P.M.. (Fixed) after two years].
Minimum Qualifications: Two years M.Sc degree in Biotechnology/Life sciences/Bioinformatics with at least 55% marks.
Must have qualified NET exam conducted by CSIR-UGC/DBT/ICMR in Life Sciences.
Desirable: Experience in Bioinformatics, Linus OS, Perl and Python languages.
Interested candidates can send their application through post, by hand or e-mail, along with complete biodata and attested copies of the necessary certificates indicating the date of birth, marks in qualifying examination; research publications (if any) and the proof of NET qualification to the undersigned by 22.04.2013.
Report for the interview on 26.04.2013 at 11.00 AM in the Office of the Chairperson, Department of Biotechnology, Panjab University, Chandigarh along with the original certificates. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
No separate call letter will be issued for the interview.
