The eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for interview at V.P.K.A.S. (ICAR), Almora on 20.06.2011 at 10.00 AM .

1. HMNEH MM-I Project on “Refinement and dissemination of Mushroom Production Technologies in Uttarakhand hills”.

Research Associate (1 post)

Educational Qualification : M. Sc. in Plant Pathology/ Botany and having knowledge on culture maintenance, spawn preparation and mushroom production.

Nature of work : Culture maintenance, master and commercial spawn preparation and transfer of mushroom production technology to farmers fields

Emoluments : ` 23,000/- + HRA per month for Master Degree.

` 24,000/- + HRA per month for Ph.D. holders.

Place of work : VPKAS Experimental Farm, Hawalbagh and Farmers Fields.

Age : The upper age limit is 40 years for men and 45 years for women on the date of interview (relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC as per GOI/ICAR norms)

2. AMAAS Project entitled “Development of a Cold Tolerant Phosphate Solubilizing Bacterial (PSB) Inoculant”.

Senior Research Fellow (1 Post)

Educational Qualification : M.Sc. in Agricultural Microbiology/ M.Sc. in Microbiology with work experience in Soil Microbiology/ M.Sc. Biotechnology with work experience in handing microorganisms

Emoluments : ` 16,000/- + HRA per month

Age : The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview (relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC as per GOI/ICAR norms)

3. Preparation of DUS testing guidelines through ICAR-SAU System.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The posts are purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project.

2. The applicants must bring their bio-data (affixed with recent passport size photograph) along with original and photocopies of mark sheets and certificates of all examinations passed.

3. No T.A. will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

4. The selection of candidate(s) doesn’t entail on them any right for absorption/ regularization at VPKAS (ICAR), Almora or any other sister concern including ICAR Headquarter.

5. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
