DBT project entitled “Studies on the gene expression under nitrosative stress using yeast as a model system” under the guidance of Dr.Sanjay Ghosh Project Investigator, Dept. of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta.

Qualification :

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) :

M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology with NET (Lectureship).

Upper age limit as on 01.10.10 is 28 years.

The stipend of a JRF selected will be Rs.12,000/? p.m. + 15% HRA as per sanction of the DBT project and also per norms of this University.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) :

M.Sc. in Biochemistry at least two years of post M.Sc., research experience as evidence from fellowship/associateship and published papers in standard referred journals.

Upper age limit for SRF shall be 32 years.

The stipend of a SRF selected will be Rs.14,000/- p.m. + 15% HRA as per sanction of the DBT project and also per norms of this University.

Interested eligible candidates are requested to appear before a selection committee on 28th October, 2010 at 2 P.M. in the room of the H.O.D., Biochemistry, 35, Ballygunge Circular Road,Kolkata 700019.

Candidates are requested to bring two sets of complete applications furnishing biodata on plain paper with attested copies of testimonials and all the originals of the same at the time of interview.

No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
