Walk – in -interview for one (1) post of Junior Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow (JRF/SRF) in a CSIR - sponsored research project entitled “Studies on effect of small molecule compounds on folding and amyloid formation of proteins.” at the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Guwahati. The appointment will be on contract basis initially for one year, may be extended based on performance.

Qualification and Experience:

JRF: MSc/MTech/ BTech in Biotechnology / Life sciences / Biochemistry or related subjects with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Candidate with valid NET/GATE will be preferred.

The age of the candidate should be less than 28 years as on 31.12.2009.

SRF: M. Sc. / M. Tech. / B. Tech. in Biotechnology / Life sciences / Biochemistry or related subjects with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Two years of research experience after passing qualifying degree is required. Candidate with valid NET/GATE will be preferred. The age of the candidate should be less than 32 years as on 31.12.2009.

Fellowship:

JRF: Rs.12,000 p.m. & SRF: Rs.14,000 p.m. (consolidated). In addition HRA + Medical facilities are admissible as per Institute rule.
