PhD (SPRING SEMESTER) PROGRAMME – 2010
Applications in prescribed format are invited from the eligible candidates for the Ph.D. programme (Spring Semester) 2010.
Offering Departments: Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology (Areas of research - Molecular Plant Microbe Interaction, Antitumor Properties of Medicinal Plants, Molecular Immunology & Immunogenetics, Applied Microbiology), Physics, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, English & Foreign Languages, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Energy and Food Processing Technology.
Eligibility
(i) Master’s Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences/ Management Science/ Science/ Engineering/ Technology or Master’s Degree in allied subject with consistently good academic record and a minimum 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA in the Master’s degree
(ii) BE/ B. Tech with an aggregate of 80% marks or equivalent CGPA with valid GATE Score
(iii) A fellowship in Chartered Accountancy/ Company Secretaryship from a recognized Indian or a foreign institution with not less than 60% or equivalent CGPA having a minimum of Bachelor’s degree.

On the basis of Entrance test and personal interview conducted by the concerned

How to apply
Application forms alongwith prospectus can be obtained from the office of the Controller of Examinations , Tezpur University by paying Rs 500/(Rs 250/for SC/ ST) in cash or from the designated branches of AXIS Bank at Agartala, Aizwal, Bangalore, Bongaigaon, Bhubaneswar, Dibrugarh, Guwahati (Paltan bazar), Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jorhat, Kolkata, Kohima , Nagaon, New Delhi( Hauz Khas and Lajpat Nagar), North Lakhimpur, Pune, Shillong, Silchar, Tinsukia and Tezpur ( proper addresses of the banks may be obtained from Tezpur University website) by paying Rs. 520/(Rs 270/for SC/ ST) only in cash or (ii) by sending a request to the Controller of Examinations, Tezpur University, P.O.Napaam, Tezpur, PIN784028, Assam with a bank draft of Rs. 560/(Rs 310/for SC/ST) only drawn in favour of the Registrar, Tezpur University payable at Tezpur and a self addressed unstamped envelop of size 30cm x 25cm or (iii) by down loading from Tezpur University website Downloaded application form must be accompanied by a Bank Draft of Rs. 500/( Rupees five hundred) only drawn in favour of the Registrar, Tezpur University payable at Tezpur.
