The Center for Dental and Oral Medicine and Maxillofacial Surgery (ZZMK) of the University of Zurich invites candidates to apply for a 3 year PhD position in the Institute of Oral Biology, ZZMK, Faculty of Medicine (http://www.dent.uzh.ch/ob) within the Departments of Orofacial Development and Structure, Stem Cell & Transgenic Sciences. The appointment will begin October 1st, 2009, or earlier. The PhD will work on a research project focusing on dental stem cells and will use molecular biology, experimental embryology and cell biology techniques. Of particular interest is research relating to the analysis of genes expressed during tooth development and repair.

Requirements: (I) master studies in Biology, Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Medicine, (II) very good command in English.

Salary is SNF (40.000 CHF).
