ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
M.Sc. Biochemistry candidates who have qualified for Ph.D. Entrance Examination in Biochemistry conducted by Bharathidasan University, as per University regulations. The applicant should have at least provisionally registered for Ph.D. programme in the Department of Biochemistry, Bharathidasan University.
A person currently holding another fellowship, supporting the Ph.D. programme or already availed University Research Fellowship is not eligible. All interested eligible candidates are requested to send the filled-in application form along with the following documents to Dr. C. Prahalathan, Professor & Head, Department of Biochemistry, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli – 620 024 by post or in person, on or before 27th August, 2024 (Tuesday).
Application in the prescribed format along with the attested copies of the academic qualifications, starting from SSLC should be submitted.
The candidates should submit attested copies of (i) Community Certificate (ii) Ph.D. provisional registration letter and (iii) A detailed CV including details such as email ID & mobile number.
REGISTRATION FEE: Rs. 300/- in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Bharathidasan University” payable at Tiruchirappalli-620024.
Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written examination and interview

Essential qualifications: M.Sc. Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or relevant area of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent and with CSIR-NET/GATE/BET qualification. (Non CSIR-NET/GATE qualified candidate can also apply; however, the fellowship will be given as per the norms of DBT, New Delhi)
Desirable: Practical knowledge in isolation and maintenance of protozoa, bacteria, molecular biology and metabolites extraction techniques will be given preference.
