VACANCY NOTIFICATION FOR CONTRACTUAL POST
Online applications are invited in the prescribed format available on the website of UCMS i.e.
www.ucms.ac.in, up to 04:00 PM BY 13.09.2022 for filling up the following vacancy under the project
on purely contractual basis at UCMS & GTB Hospital, Delhi. After scrutiny of the applications,
shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview/written test (whichever is applicable).
Title of Project: - “Psychosocial impact of the pandemic on older persons, vaccine hesitancy and
C-19 appropriate behavior across South East Asian countries: A cross sectional study” (Funded
by ICMR).

Job description:
• This is full-time position and the Research Fellow will be expected to work full time in the
department.
• The Research Fellow will coordinate with the other project sites participating in this study and
assist in data collection and coordinate compilation of data.
• The Research Fellow will ensure proper data collection as a part of the project.
• Data collection is largely online. However, the Research Fellow will assist in person, on phone
or online with those older persons who are unable to fill the form independently.
• The Research Fellow will participate in other training programs held in the department.
• The Research Fellow may be required to travel between project sites.
• The Research Fellow will be responsible for data analysis, development of report, compiling
and coordinating the documents required by ICMR between different project sites.
• The Research Fellow will also be involved in writing new projects for further research.
• The Research Fellow will complete any other work assigned by the Principal Investigator/s or
the co-investigator/s from time to time
General Instructions:
1. Candidate has to mention name of post over the envelope containing application i.e. "Application for
the post of Junior Research Fellow”.
2. Applications form along with self-attested supportive documents (Scanned and attached as single
PDF) have to be sent via post to Dr Alpana Raizada, Department of Medicine, Ward 27, University
College of Medical Sciences & GTB Hospital, Office of Dilshad Garden, Delhi-110095. All documents
to be in chronological order (qualification and experience).
3. Shortlisting of candidates for interview/written test shall be done on basis of educational qualification
and experience as per advertisement.
4. The shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the interview/written test via e-mail or candidates
may check our College website i.e. www.ucms.ac.in for any update related to the advertisement.
5. Age relaxation as per ICMR rules.
6. Candidates must submit the duly self-attested copies of proof of their age, educational qualifications,
experiences, testimonials along with application form etc. at the time of interview, if shortlisted.
7. Selected candidates must bring all the documents as mentioned below in Original for verification
along with following: -
a. Two recent passport size photographs.
b. Set of self-attested photocopies of the relevant documents i.e., Date of birth certificate,
Educational/Professional qualification certificate.
c. Experience certificate
d. NOC (In case of a government job)
8. Incomplete application (not accompanied by relevant documents) or applications received after due
date/time will be summarily rejected.
9. Submission of incorrect or false information shall disqualify the candidature at any stage of
recruitment process.
10. The benefit of Provident Fund, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim, CCA etc. will not be
available to the project employee.
11. The Competent Authority reserves the right to any amendment, cancellation and changes to this
advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason.
12. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
13. Cut-off date for age limit will be considered as on last date of submission of Application form.
14. The Competent Authority has the right to accept/ reject any application without assigning any reason
thereof and no correspondence will be made in this matter
15. Since the posts are filled-up on purely temporary and contractual basis for a period of nine months,
the candidate will have no right to claim for any type of regular/permanent employment.
16. The selected candidate shall be engaged initially for duration offered and may continue further after
review on the basis of his/her performance and depending upon tenure of the project, availability of
funds, functional requirement etc.
17. The contractual appointment can be terminated at any time by either side by giving 30 days’ notice
or salary in lieu thereof.
