Studentship and Traineeship in Bioinformatics
Applications are invited on plain paper from suitable candidates for Studentship and Traineeship (One each) at Bioinformatics Sub-Center as detailed below:
1. Studentship: Studentship is for those who have completed M. Sc. Degrees in Life Science.
Number of seats : One
Duration : Six months
Eligibility : Passed M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences.
Fellowship : Rs. 5000/- (Five thousand only) per month
2. Traineeship: Traineeship is for those who have completed M. Sc. Degrees in Life Science/Registered Ph. D. student in Life Sciences.
Number of seats : One
Duration : Six months
Eligibility : Passed M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences/ Registered Ph. D. student in Life Sciences
Fellowship : Rs. 5000/- (Five thousand only) per month
Preferences will be given to person who has experience in Bioinformatics and Computer
sciences. The application along with detailed bio-data should reach the undersigned, on or before 25th August 2014. Both, the studentship and the traineeship are temporary, will be discontinued after the six months from the date of Joining. It may be discontinued in-between without any notice, if the work is not found satisfactory.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) One post
Rs. 16000/- + 30% HRA per month for I & II year; and 18000/-+ 30% HRA for III year (as per DBT norms)
Essential : M. Sc. with specialization in Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, NET/GATE qualified
Desirable: Experience in molecular biology and biochemical techniques
Terms and Conditions:
1. Age limit: 35 years (Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST/ and women candidate as per govt. guidelines).
2. The total duration of project is 3 years and the positions are purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. The renewal of yearly contract is subjected to the satisfactory performance of JRF.
3. The biodata with full particulars i.e. qualifications, experience, NOC from the previous employer/experience certificate, publications etc. along with original/attested copies of the certificates must be brought along with.
4. The Interview of eligible candidates will be held in the Division of Biochemistry, IARI, PUSA Campus, New Delhi on 21st August, 2014 at 10.30 A.M.

A Walk-in-Interview will be held at Department of Biotechnology, Alagappa University,  Science Campus Karaikudi - 630 004 on 08.08.2014 (Friday) at 11.00 AM for the position of JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) for the CSIR funded research project entitled “Production, purification and characterization of a-amylase from marine sediment bacterium  Bacillus subtilis S8-18 and its evaluation for antibiofilm activity against human pathogens”.
Qualification: First Class M.Sc., in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/Biochemistry or equivalent of a recognized University with NET (JRF).
NET (LS)/ GATE qualified candidates may also apply.
Emoluments & Duration:
For NET (JRF) candidate Rs. 16,000 + Admissible HRA per month- for one year
For NET (LS)/GATE candidate Rs. 12,000 + Admissible HRA per month- for one year
