NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited for the posts of Eight Junior Research Fellows, to work in an inter-disciplinary research project in the area of Nanotechnology entitled ‘Processing, Characterization and Applications of Advanced Functional Nanomaterials’ sponsored by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, under the CPEPA Programme for a period of Five years. The research work will lead to the Ph.D. degrees to the candidates in their respective subjects.
Essential qualification : M.Sc., with First Class in any one of these subjects
– Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Microbiology, Polymer Chemistry, Applied Geology, Geology, Earth Science and Resource Management and Biotechnology.
Candidates with NET qualification are eligible for the JRF with full scholarship of Rs 16,000 per month and additional HRA as per the rules for two years, and in the third year fellowship will be enhanced to Rs 18,000 per month with additional HRA.
If NET qualified candidates are not available, then the candidates will be selected as Project Fellows with a Fellowship of Rs 14,000 per month with additional HRA as per the rules for two years, and in the third year the fellowship will be enhanced to Rs 16,000 per month with additional HRA.
The Fellowships will be for three years initially and shall be extended in special cases as per the requirement.
The selection will be made through an interview. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for interview.
