Duration of the project is three years (2012-2015)
The applicants should have good academic records. The essential minimum qualification for aforesaid research position is M.Sc. in Forestry / Botany/ Environmental Science/ Biogeochemistry or related subjects.
NET/GATE qualification will be essential for the appointment of JRF. Lecturership (NET) qualified candidates will also be eligible for JRF. Candidates with NET/GATE having two years of post-M.Sc. research experience as evidenced from published papers are eligible for SRF. PhD degree is the minimum qualification for the appointment of RA. Interview will be conducted for Two (02) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India, funded Twining Project titled “Effect of Hypercholesterolemia on brain function: Effects of indigenous plants components of North-East India” in the Department of Life Science and Bioinformatics, Assam University, Silchar.
The candidate may appear for the interview on July 09, 2012 in the Department of Life Science and Bioinformatics, Assam University, at 11.00 AM.
Eligibility- Master Degree in Life Science (Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Neuroscience/ Pharmacy) or allied disciplines from a recognized Institute/ University with atleast 55% of marks.
Fellowship- Rs. 16,000/- + 10% HRA for NET/GATE
Rs. 12,000/- + 10% HRA for Non- NET/GATE
