The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), established in 1965, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in the Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Predictive Toxicology, Health Risk Assessment, Preventive Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, and also National S&T Missions. IITR has two campuses; the main campus is located at the centre of Lucknow City and the other campus at a distance of approx. 20 km from the main campus.
The institute is looking for talented young professionals and dynamic personnel for the post of Technical Assistant. Accordingly, the Application on the prescribed forms is invited from Indian Nationals for the following positions:-
Technical Assistant: 14 posts (07 UR, 05 OBC, 01 SC & 01 PH)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 9300-34800/-; Grade Pay Rs.4200/- (PB-2)
Age: Not more than 28 years.
Post 1: 1, 2 & 3 ANIMAL HOUSE (03 posts, 1:1 UNRESERVED, 1:2 Reserved for OBC & 1:3 Reserved for SC)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: - 1st class B.Sc. (Science) with Zoology as one of the subjects with one year full time professional qualification in Zoology from a recognized Institute/Organization or 1st class B.Sc. (Science) with Medical laboratory technology (MLT) with one year full time professional qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology/ Laboratory techniques from a recognized Institute/Organization.
DESIREABLE: Working experience in animal house and quality control.
JOB REQUIREEMNT: Supervision of the animal colonies and collection of animal tissues for laboratory investigation and data collection for quality system.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1st class B.Sc. (Science) with Zoology, Botany and Chemistry with one year full time professional qualification in Zoology/Botany from a recognized Institute/Organization.
DESIREABLE: Working experience in laboratory techniques including microscopy and histopathology.
JOB REQUIREMENT: To prepare samples for transmission and scanning electron microscopy including equipment maintenance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1st class B.Sc. (Science) with Zoology, Botany and Chemistry or Biotechnology with one year full time professional qualification in Zoology/Botany /Chemistry /Biotechnology from a recognized Institute/Organization.
DESIREABLE: Working experience in laboratory techniques/cell culture/animal handling.
JOB REQUIREMENT: To assist in molecular toxicological studies.
Post 1:8 R&D Planning (01 POST UNRESERVED + ORTHOPEDICALLY HANDICAPPED )
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1st class B.Sc.(Science) with one year full time professional qualification in Biological/Chemical/Information/Management Sciences from a recognized Institute/Organization.
DESIREABLE QUALIFICATION: Experience in preparation and compilation of scientific and technical reports. Working experience in a scientific institution and knowledge of computers (MS-Office) would an added advantage.
JOB REQUIREENT: To coordinate with different scientific groups for collection, collation and preparation of scientific reports/annual plan documents.
Post 1: 9 Business Developments (01 POST RESERVED FOR OBC)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1st class B.Sc. (Science) with one year full time professional qualification in Biological/Chemical/Information/Management Sciences from a recognized Institute/Organization OR 10+2 with Science subjects followed by 1st class Diploma in Biological/Chemical/ Information/ Management Sciences Engineering/Technology of 3 years full time duration (2/2.5 years full time duration in cases of lateral admission after 10+2) or its equivalent.
DESIREABLE QUALIFICATION: Experience in marketing of scientific knowledge base/public relations/scientific liaisoning/scientific information dissemination and working experience in a scientific institution with knowledge of computers (MS Office). An exposure to WTO/TRIPS would be an added advantage.
JOB REQUIREENT: To liaise with Government institutions and industries for marketing of scientific knowledge base, public relations and dissemination of scientific information.
Post 1:10 ULTRACENTRIFUGE/TISSUE CULTURE (01 POST UNRESERVED)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1st class B.Sc. (Science) with Zoology, Botany and Chemistry with one year full time professional qualification in Zoology/Botany/ Tissue culture from a recognized Institute/Organization.
DESIREABLE QUALIFICATION: Working experience in centrifugation and tissue culture.
JOB REQUIREENT: To carry out ultracentrifugation, handling and maintenance of difference cell lines in tissue culture facility.
Post 1:11 CONFOCAL MICROSCOPY/DROSOPHILA STOCK KEEPING (01 POST UNRESERVED)
ESSENTAIL QUALIFICATIONS: 1st class B.Sc. (Science) with Zoology, Botany and Chemistry with one year full time professional qualification in Zoology from a recognized Institute/Organization.
DESIREABLE QUALIFICATION: Working experience in laboratory techniques and microscopy.
JOB REQUIREMENT: To maintain Drosophila strains and handing Confocal Microscope.
Post 1:13 Statstics (01 POST UNRESERVED)
ESSENTAIL QUALIFICATIONS: 1st class B.Sc. (Science) with one year full time professional qualification in Statistics from a recognized Institute/organization.
DESIREABLE QUALIFICATION: Working experience in statistical methodology, experimental design and knowledge of computers, statistical and data processing soft wares.
JOB REQUIREMENT: To assist scientists and technologists of the institute in experimental and field data analysis.
