CSIR Project: “Behavioural and Genomic Response of the Indian short-nosed fruit bat Cynopterus sphinx to the distress call of conspecifics”.

Project Details: The aim of the project is to understand the Genomic and neuronal response to the social behavior of Indian short-nosed fruit bat Cynopterus sphinx using behavioural and molecular techniques.


Fellowship: Rs. 14,000/- pm + HRA as per the regulations of Bharathidasan University.


Qualification : M.Sc., in Animal Biotechnology/Biotechnology / Zoology with First Class, and at least two years research experience, as evidence from published papers in standard refereed journals.

The project involves periodical field visits to collect the study animals and also to conduct the behavioural studies.
